Chilindo Press MVC Website
Overview
Chilindo Press is an e-commerce press release platform. I was contracted to build their company website using Angular 1.6 in an MVC architecture, with a mocked backend serving static JSON data in English and Thai. The project included translating design mockups from the Art Designer into fully functional components.
Features
- Fully automated Gulp task runner with BrowserSync proxy to Nodemon for live reloading
- Modular Angular 1.6 component structure following John Papa’s style guide
- Bootstrap Sass configuration access via global.vars with Wiredep integration
- Dynamic language translation feature for English and Thai
- Fully documented and maintainable code
- Responsive layout with SPA behavior
- Mocked backend serving static JSON data
Tech Summary
- Frontend: Angular 1.6, TypeScript, Bootstrap alpha.6/Flexbox, SCSS
- Tools: Gulp, Nodemon, BrowserSync, Wiredep, Bower, npm
- Utilities: Lodash, TSLint, Dynamic global injection
- Architecture: MVC, SPA, modular design
- Other: Customized language translation
Outcome
The Chilindo Press website achieved a fully modular, maintainable, and responsive structure. The project allowed the client to maintain a professional press platform while supporting bilingual content. Live demo access is limited, as this is a proprietary project.
